Pour Score Privacy Policy
About This Policy
Pour Score collects only what it needs to let you rate coffee drinks on the South Shore, and it never sells your information. This policy explains what the Pour Score app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.
Pour Score is run by Ryan Hennessy, an individual based in Massachusetts ("Pour Score," "we," or "us"). This policy was last updated on October 18, 2026. Questions or requests: [email protected].

Photos you upload are resized and saved as standard image files. We don't add location data to them, and we don't read any location data your phone may have stored in the original photo.
Your Location
If you allow it, the app uses your location to show your position on the map and to sort coffee spots by distance in Near You and Explore. That location stays on your phone and isn't sent to or saved by Pour Score, with one exception: if you tap I’m Here Now while suggesting a spot, the app sends that spot's location with your suggestion so we can place it on the map.
Location is optional. You can turn it off anytime in your phone's Settings, and the rest of the app keeps working.
Your appearance setting (System, Light, or Dark) is saved only on your phone.
How We Use Information
We use your information only to run Pour Score. That means we use it to:
Sign you in and keep your account secure
Show your ratings, photos, and profile to other people using the app
Calculate the Community Scores shown for each drink and coffee spot
Keep your Want to Try list in sync
Review reported content and remove what breaks the rules
Review spot suggestions and add new coffee spots to the app
Show the badges you've earned, based on your reviews
Reply when you contact us
We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. Anything marked "Everyone" in the table above is public inside the app, so only post what you're comfortable sharing.
Pour Score doesn't use analytics, ad tracking, or tracking cookies, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Services We Rely On
A few outside services help Pour Score work. They only receive what they need to do their part.
Supabase stores your account, ratings, photos, and profile on our behalf.
Resend sends your sign-in codes by email, and emails us when someone suggests a coffee spot.
TikTok and YouTube: when a review has a video link, the app asks TikTok or YouTube for that video's cover image so it can show a thumbnail. Opening a video takes you to that service, where its own privacy policy applies.
Maps apps: when you tap Take Me There, the app opens Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze with the shop's location. What happens there is covered by that app's privacy policy.
Coffee spot listings come from public map data from OpenStreetMap and the Overture Maps Foundation. No personal information is shared with them.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people using Pour Score.
Your Choices and Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account and everything tied to it at any time, right in the app: go to Profile, tap the gear to open Settings, then tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your ratings, reviews, photos, saved spots, profile picture, social handles, the reports you've filed, your spot suggestions, and your login.
Until then, we keep your information for as long as your account is open. You can also:
Change your profile picture, and edit or clear your social handles, on your Profile tab
Edit or delete any of your reviews from your Profile or a shop page
Delete shop photos you've posted by tapping them
Turn off location access in your phone's Settings
To ask for a copy of your information, or for help with anything above, email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
Children, Security, and Changes
Pour Score is meant for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
We protect your information with secure connections and access rules that let each person change only their own account. No system is perfectly secure, so please use an email account you keep safe.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
